all speak complicated, high-level English. Simple English can sometimes

be the most powerful. Ms. Yukiko Nakayama will show you how confident,

simple English opens up many more opportunities of communication than

uncertain, advanced English.

Ms. Yukiko Nakayama is the representative director of U-ENGLISH

corporation. She also works as a full-time lecturer at Japan Society for

Technical Communication (JSTC), and as a part-time lecturer in the

engineering departments of various universities in Japan, including

Kyoto University. She has passed the Grade-1 EIKEN Test in Practical

English Proficiency and the Level-1 English Technical Writing Test,

including an honorable mention award from the Ministry of Education,

Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. Her job focuses on the revision

and translation of technical manuscripts as well as patents. She also

teaches technical English at various companies, universities, and

technical colleges, and has written textbooks on the subject.​

The contemporary medical research has come up with enough evidence that mind is the seat of all diseases and that we are surrounded by myths. Dr.B M Hegde is a medical scientist, cardiologist, educationist and author who has contributed immensely in the field of healthcare medical science. He speaks about how change is found everywhere and that change is life. He talks about the level of difficulty seen in removing myths. He cites the examples of taking medicines for minor illnesses which otherwise could be cured by sipping hot water which destroys the virus or by using the readily available Indian herbs. A good doctor according to him is the one who empathizes and builds faith in his patient. He says that change is a must and science has to change. He stresses on the fact that knowledge advances by changing myths and not by repeating the known things. This talk was given at an independently organised TEDx event using the TED conference format. Dr.B M Hegde is an Indian medical scientist, educationist and an author. Dr. Hegde is Padma Bhushan awardee 2010. He is the former Vice Chancellor of Manipal University, Co-Chairman of the TAG-VHS Diabetes Research Centre, Chennai and the chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mangalore. He has authored several books on medical practice and ethics. He is also the Editor in Chief of the medical journal, Journal of the Science of Healing Outcomes.He is MBBS, Ph. D. [Hon. Causa], MD, FRCP [London], FRCP [Edinburgh], FRCP [Glasgow], FRCPI [Dublin], FACC [USA] and FAMS. He also received training in cardiology from Harvard Medical School under Bernard Lown, a Nobel Laureate. He has won Dr. B C Roy National Award in the category of an Eminent Medical Teacher, Dr. J. C. Dr. George Christ is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Virginia. He is also the Director of Basic and Translational Research in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the UVA Medical School. He is also a co-inventor of more than 26 patents related to gene therapy for the treatment of human smooth muscle disorders and tissue engineering technologies.

Всего лишь один шаг, и ты оказываешься на пороге Тьмы, в странном, потерявшемся среди слоев времени мире, среди таких же потерявшихся людей. Этому миру будущее не сулит ничего хорошего, но все же люди в нем остаются людьми, то есть обустраивают свою жизнь, любят, дружат, ссорятся, враждуют… и все равно ищут пути обратно, пусть это и выглядит безнадежным.

Пьетро переезжает в Рим, где ему за копейки удается снять шикарную квартиру, требующую, правда, серьезного ремонта. Очень скоро он замечает, что вещи в квартире из раза в раз оказываются не на том месте, а из пустых комнат доносятся странные звуки. Совершенно очевидно, что он живёт здесь не один.
