Thomas Woltz is the principal and owner of Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects (NBW) with offices in New York City, Charlottesville VA, and San Francisco CA. During the past 19 years of practice, Woltz and his staff have forged a body of work that integrates the beauty and function of built form and craftsmanship with an understanding of complex biological systems and restoration ecology yielding hundreds of acres of reconstructed wetlands, reforested land, native meadows, and flourishing wildlife habitat. Currently NBW is entrusted with the design of 8 major public parks across the US, Canada and New Zealand. The firm’s work has been recognized with over 80 national and international awards and published widely.

In 2011, Thomas Woltz was invested into the American Society of Landscape Architects Council of Fellows, among the highest honors achieved in the profession, and in 2013, named Design Innovator of the Year by the Wall Street Journal Magazine.

The cult is all about making irreversible decisions that make “manifesting” your dreams the only option because not achieving it would create indescribable suffering. Мы расскажем о нашем опыте непосредственного общения с китами, прежде всего — с кашалотами, которые являются самыми крупными хищниками на планете. Одновременно — это едва ли не самые загадочные существа с удивительными способностями, о которых до сих пор крайне мало известно. Они обладатели самого большого и высокоорганизованного в природе мозга (20 кг) и самого гигантского сердца (кубический метр в объеме). Несколько лет экспедиций к семейству кашалотов целиком меняют масштаб нашего восприятия вселенной и разумной жизни. Мы покажем уникальные фото- и видеоматериалы, до сих пор не публиковавшиеся.

TALK: Predator Tenderness. Meetings with whales.
We will tell about our experience of direct communication with whales, first of all, with sperm whales, which are the largest predators on the planet. At the same time its almost the most mysterious creatures with amazing abilities, about which it is still extremely little known. They possess the largest and the most highly organized brain (20 kg) and the most gigantic heart (cubic meter in volume). Several years of expeditions to the family of sperm whales have completely changed the scale of our perception of the universe and intelligent life. We will show unique photo and video materials, which have not been published yet.

As the head of language research, training and testing for EF Education First — the worlds largest language school — Dr. Christopher McCormick oversees the instructional design and delivery of EFs language programs. His work focuses on online language learning, educational mobile applications, and digital media for accelerated language learning. His language abilities span English, Spanish and Russian, amongst others. Dr. McCormick holds a B.A. with honors in French and Russian from Tulane University, and a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from the University of Texas at Austin.

Ahmed Amin is an actor and writer graduated from Faculty of Arts in 2002. Amin worked as a theatre actor, then the chief editor of Bassem children magazine. Amin is currently popular for his short youtube videos in the 30 seconds series like «How to write slang poetry in 30 seconds». He also starred and produced his short movie «Present with the Accused»
